MPHAFO empowers women and girls as it is essential to their health, social development of families, communities and the country, the organisation empowers girls and women in Trainings, Mentoring, Education, Climate Change, Financial Management etc
The organisation strives in empowering women and girls for them to be self-dependent, as women and girls tend to be vulnerable on issues of gender based violence, Sexual abuse etc. MphaFo is and will continue to form girls and Women forums where by they are able to discuss issues on the importance of Education, Reproductive health and rights, Gender Equality among others. These topics helps our women and girls to make informed decisions that changes their lives.
Business management and entrepreneurship skills is another area that we are working on, to make sure that girls and women have something for sustainability, we train them on business management and skills to run their businesses so that their trading’s are successful. We encourage these women to have groups in which each group comprises of 10 were by they can continue to share best practices of doing businesses as they are growing them. These women forums they are able to discuss on money savings, price costing, among others.
start-up capital, Equipment’s as MphaFo we provide start-up capital, to our women as we noted that our training was not yielding the intended purpose as most women were unable to start their businesses after trainings because they were lacking capital. MphaFo provides sewing machines to women who have acquired knowledge of sewing and baking equipment’s to those who have been trained in baking so that they are able to start their small business and earn something at the end of the month
Climate change affects everyone on the planet and women and girls are not spared but they are threated in their livelihood, health, Education and safety.one of the challenges of climate change is floods because of these girls are unable to go to school because livers are flooding and bridges are impassable. Our girls are encouraged to take part in issues of climate change by planting trees and taking care of them, recycling, waste management as we noted that a clean environment makes people to be healthy and they are able to breath clean air.
